'Shahin' to contend for award at Asian Film Festival, Los Angeles Hollywood

Iranian film 'Shahin' is to contend for award at the Asian Film Festival, Los Angeles Hollywood in the US.

Iranian film 'Shahin' is to contend for award at the 2020 Asian Film Festival, Los Angeles Hollywood (AFF) in the US.

The 2nd edition of the Asian Film Festival, which is set for November 1-14, 2020 in Los Angeles, will host Salar Tehrani’s 'Shahin' about the life of a policeman and his wife.

'Shahin' will also go to the 2nd Bharat International Film Festival to be held in India on January 24-26, 2021.

Gelareh Abbasi, Alireza Kamali-Nejad and Mehran Ranjbar, who are household names to ifilm audience, make three of the leading roles in the flick.

Abbasi has appeared in several popular shows screened on ifilm, including ‘In the Eye of the Storm’, ‘Madness of Love’, ‘Kimia’ and ‘Breath’. She costarred with Kamali-Nejad in ‘Breath’.

ifilmers might also remember Mehran Ranjbar from ‘The Sound of Rain’ which was recently aired on ifilm English.  

Bahar Nouhian, Ehsan Amani and Farzin Mohaddes are also among the cast members of ‘Shahin’.

The AFF is dedicated to strengthening Asian and Hollywood film and culture exchange and collaboration.

Founded by Asian Film Festival Committee and American International Chamber of Commerce, the festival also promotes innovative development in film industry and fosters creativity in filmmaking in the world.
